University of Ibadan (UI) Admission List 2019 | How to Check & Accept

Published on

You can check the University of Ibadan (UI) admission lists for 2019 online – using your phone or computer; this includes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and other supplementary lists.

The University of Ibadan is located in the capital city of Oyo State. It is as a matter of fact the oldest university in Nigeria.

Every year, thousands of students from every corner of Nigeria apply for admission to study in UI. Indeed, UI is one of the hottest institutions in Nigeria

Whether you applied through JAMB UTME or Direct Entry (DE), you have to follow the same process to check your admission status.

Meanwhile, I believe you must have checked your UI Post UTME result and scored up to the cut-off point.

In that case, the next thing to do is keep track of your admission status online. The two ways you can do that is via the official UI website or on JAMB CAPS.

In this article, we’ll show you how to do both.

How to Check University of Ibadan admission list

On the official UI website:

Step 1. Visit the official website using http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng/

Step 2. Enter your JAMB registration number as the username and your surname as the password.

Step 3. Click on ‘sign in’ to access your portal.

In the portal homepage, you have the option to check your admission status.

On JAMB CAPS:

To check your University of Ibadan admission status on JAMB CAPS:

Step 1. visit http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/ using a computer or a high-end mobile device at least.

Step 2. Log in using your JAMB username and password

Step 3. Click on the options that say ‘Check UTME / DE Admission Status’.

Step 4. Choose the year you sat for the exam and enter your JAMB registration number.

Step 5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status’.

After completing the steps above, you’ll see a notification containing your UI admission status.

What to do after the University of Ibadan offers you admission

The first thing to do is decide whether or not you want the admission.

If you wish to accept the admission, then you have to stay logged in to your JAMB portal and upload your O’level results. Afterward, you’ll be able to click on the ‘Accept admission’ button.

In case you don’t want the admission, all you have to do is click on ‘reject’ or ignore the notification.

Failing to provide any response within a certain period of time will lead to your admission been reversed.

Note: you may have to pay the UI acceptance fee — depending on your department — before you’ll be allowed to print out the admission letter.

What to do if you can’t find your name on the list

The University doesn’t release all the list at once. Thus, you must check again some other time.

News on UI admission is usually published on the official website. so, you can check on a regular basis to know when a new list is out. In fact, we advise you to do that every day if you have the means.
