Nollywood celebrity and media personality Uti Nwachukwu has taken to his Twitter account to respond to Pastor Adeboye’s post about asking his son to sack his secretary.
The general overseer had written a message about the right approach to handling sexual sin and adultery.
The tweet also contained the right manner in which married couples should treat themselves. Read this post to get a full gist.
In a bid to pass his message across, The GO made it known that “he had asked his son to fire his secretary.”
That line has sparked lots of controversy on the internet, with several people opposing and supporting.
While some saw what he said as very correct and the right thing to do, others saw his approach as the wrong.
One such person who has a problem with his message is Nigerian celebrity, Uti Nwachukwu.
Uti has criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, over this part of the GO’s message; “telling his son to sack his secretary”.
Because according to the pastor, his son said he is excited about resuming work every Monday because he will get to see his secretary.
But Pastor Adeboye stated that no one is worth anyone’s marriage and that if his secretary will lead him into committing adultery, he should sack her.
Replying to the pastor, Uti said that religion in Nigeria is a big joke.
He said that the same people “will always tell their followers to pray against those blocking their progress.” but he, Pastor Adeboye is telling his son to sack his innocent secretary
Here is his tweet, “Religion in Nigeria is a BIG JOKE!!!! You ask your son to fire an innocent woman because your son cannot discipline himself/His feelings?? Tomorrow now the same people will say we shd rise and pray against anyone blocking our progress!! Isokay. We have heard now!”
He further went on to say, “Watch o… the narrative go soon change. Them go soon release press statement that the secretary was flirting with/coming unto the son…just to justify the act of wickedness!!! Nigeria!! Open your eyes! Religion is now a Malicious hateful tool! CHOOSE LOVE!”
Similarly, as it was with the case of Adeboye, some Nigerians also replied Uti, countering his own view on the issue. Below are tweets showing some replies:

If you are the father of the son what would you have done? Advice the the son to respect himself knowing fully the son may not have the strength to control himself in the face of such temptation
Reason why many pastor fall victim is because they can’t be blunt. Sack her!
uti calm down I agree that may not be the perfect decision on the matter it was what he considered best for his son bcoz if it has gone to the level of the son harassing or having an affair with her, u will still be part of the people that will crucify him.”

“if thine eyes cause u to sin cut it off” that’s what scripture says. U would have acted differently but he has d right to the way he reacted to the matter too.
