There’s been so much drama surrounding the release of JAMB 2019 UTME and DE results. Theories and rumours have been flying around; a lot of people are clueless as to why JAMB 2019 results are yet to be released.
We did our findings and we’ll be sharing with you everything we discovered.
Truth be told, the delay is unusual and, therefore, alarming. Previously, students only had to wait a few days (say 2-3 days…) before their results were released. But, surprisingly, it is nearly 2 weeks already and the results are not out.
Why are JAMB 2019 results not out yet?
After having to deal with several theories out there, we were able to come out with the real reason for the delay. Reports reaching us confirm that the reason for the delay is as a result of the widespread misconducts and malpractices that took place during the course of the exams.
JAMB’s Head of Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, confirmed this report in an interview in Abuja, saying: “Our not releasing the results is not as a result of any challenge at all. It is due largely to the fact that we want to clean up the system.
“Nigerians should cooperate with us, Nigerians should support us and Nigerians should even celebrate what we are doing”, he continued.
“This attitude of always rushing to get results is what has led us to where we are today. We should be patient to get the right thing. The results, even if they are released that day, candidates won’t be able to do anything with them.
“We want to clean up the system to ensure that those who have been benefiting from its illegality, in 2019, we will ensure they will never benefit from such act again”, he added.
So, judging by what Mr. Benjamin said, the theory that all JAMB exams have been canceled is not only wrong but totally misleading.
Therefore, all candidates must disregard the fake news flying around Whatsapp and Facebook claiming that all results have been cancelled.
And always ensure to confirm the authenticity of any news before sharing them with friends. This way, we’ll avoid the spread of fake news and unnecessary panic.
