Yesterday, the internet was greeted with the shocking death of Nollywood actor, Alkali Matt.
Mathew also known as “Dareng” of the African Magic series ‘Halita, reportedly died on a movie set in Keffi, Nassarawa state.
Sharing the sad news is Dimbo Atiya said it was a great loss and expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased.
Dimbo did not go further into providing any details regarding the real cause of the death as she only revealed that he died on movie set.
However, controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has claimed that the actor died because he came in contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus at the AMVCA 7.
You will recall that the Lagos state government had earlier into this week asked all the attendees at the 2020 AMVCA ceremony to self-isolate and go for test.
Kemp thinks that asides from Matt having an underlying condition, his exposure to some one with the deadly novel virus, contributed to his death.
She posted: “#Breaking, Dareng died today on the set of his movie. He was EXPOSED to someone with #Covid19.
“People are dropping like flies in NYC and Italy. I have warned and warned. Pls go into #selfisolation, stop filming at this time. Someone on that set was infected. I tweeted all day, ” she said.
“Matt Alkali was only 36yo. A very careful autopsy should be done. Virus is always active and bodies should be cremated #RIP young man.
