Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has sent a strong message to everyone asking her when she’ll get married.
Needless to say, the African culture places a lot of importance on marriage. Therefore, it is common for supposedly eligible bachelors and spinsters get asked like like ‘when will you marry’ and reminded just how much time isn’t on her side.
Clearly, Funmi Awelewe is not in the mood to entertain such questions.
According to her, there is “a best time” to get married. However, there isn’t “a best age” as people achieve things at different timelines.
“You people should stop asking ‘when will you get married Morili.’ The best time to get married is when you feel comfortable and confident in your job and personal life.
“Some relationship experts will tell you that age as a number is less important than age as experience.
“There isn’t necessarily a best age to get married, but there definitely is a best time to get married. The best time to get married is when you feel comfortable and confident in your job and personal life.”
