Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has flatly disagreed with one of her followers who commented on her post saying Africa has failed us.
The actress had written a post on her profile to mark Africa Day, listing some of the “most admirable” things that make us Africans.
“Happy Africa Day!” She wrote.
“Some of the Most Admirable things that make us African are: Our Rich Culture and heritage, our Strong and Tenacious spirit, our Optimism and readiness to try, our History and Love for Mother Africa.”
She then urged her fans to express what they think are the most admirable things about Africa.
Alhaji Sadiq then took to the comment section to say we don’t have any reason to celebrate because this continent has failed us.
However, Omotola rejected his claim by insisting that the continent is rich and hasn’t failed. Instead, it is the leaders who have mismanaged the resources and the ordinary people who haven’t done enough to checkmate their bad governance.
