With the rapid spread of the deadly coronavirus, these past few days have seen many clubs across Europe sent into quarantine.
Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, Arsenal among others have been sent into quarantine following different cases of the virus or symptoms of the virus among players.
Catalan giants, Barcelona are the latest to go into quarantine having being hit by the deadly novel virus.
Apparently, Barcelona is now forced to suspend all activity until further notice, however, the players have been told to train in their respective houses.
The decision to send them into quarantine was taken after a meeting on Friday, which was attended by club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and a list of medical professionals.
Barcelona released a statement confirming this news.
The statement reads: “Given the health situation and following the recommendations of the Club’s medical managers, the first soccer team suspends all its activity until further notice.
“This decision was made after the meeting held this morning by the first football team with President Josep Maria Bartomeu, Dr Jaume Padros and Dr Antoni Trilla.”
In any case, the Spanish LaLiga has also been suspended two-week because of the rapid spread of coronavirus.
In the vein, The UEFA Leagues, The English Premier League and the Seria A have all been postponed; no thanks to coronavirus.
