Ronaldo has just reached another landmark; however, this time, it is not on the football field but on social media. A recent visit to his Instagram profile reveals that he has achieved something no one else has at the moment.
The iconic footballer who is oftentimes referred to as one of the greatest in history has just hit 200 million followers on Instagram
Currently, the only account that has more followers than him is the official account of Instagram, albeit with just 330,000 followers.
Ronaldo took to his official account to celebrate the achievement, saying “Wow 200 million!!! Thank you to each and every one of you for sharing this journey with me every day!”.
You will recall that last year Ronaldo overtook Selena Gomez as the most followed Instagram celebrity, and now he has reached 200 million followers and is followed by Singer Ariana Grande with 173.1 million followers.
Fellow footballer Lionel Messi of Barcelona ranks eighth on the list with 141.8 million and Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar is 10th at 132.6 million followers.
