Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in quarantine in Madeira after it was confirmed that his teammate Daniele Rugani tested positive for coronavirus.

Recall that the Portuguese forward flew home to visit his mother following Juventus’ 2-0 win over Inter Milan that was played behind closed doors on Sunday.

Meanwhile, authorities in Italy have postponed the Serie A and other sporting events until at least April 3 in order to slow down the spread of coronavirus.

Ronaldo who is currently in Madeira is also awaiting the outcome of the recent health situation in Italy according to a statement by Juventus.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has not trained and remains in Madeira awaiting events to unfold with the current health emergency,” Juventus wrote in a recent statement.

According to EurosportNews, following the confirmation that Rugani suffers from Covid19, his teammates and other people who have come in close contact with him will have to undergo a mandatory 14 days quarantine to ascertain their health status.
