The Hausa states in Nigeria are states that are predominantly dominated by the Hausas. In this post, we’ll provide you with the names of all the states where Hausa people are indigenous settlers.

The Hausas, located in the Northern part of Nigeria, are among the three major languages in the country; the other two are Yoruba and Igbo.

To put it differently, the Hausas dominate the northwestern parts of Nigeria while also forming fractions of the North-central and Northeastern states.

Size of Hausaland: How big are all the states put together?

The size of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto & Zamfara States put together is approximately 216,029 km2.

If we are to combine the figure above ones located in other states, then, the total size of the entire Hausaland will stand above 300,000 km2.

This means that Hausaland is bigger than countries like Ghana (238,540 km2), Romania (238,391 km2), Tunisia (163,610 km2) and hosts of others.
