Nigeria’s Gucci celebrity, Hushpuppi, has reportedly been arrested. The rumours are flying on all of the major blogs in Nigeria.
Late yesterday, a video started circulating on Twitter, showing several police vehicles parked and ready to arrest someone. According to the source of the video, it was the FBI that arrested Hushpuppi and Woodberry for alleged involvement in a fraud ring that cost America Hundreds of Millions of dollars in funds intended for citizens affected by the pandemic.
Following the update, Hushpuppi has been trending on Twitter and other social platforms.
Some Nigerians, at the moment, still doubt the veracity of the report. However, several others who already suspected he was into fraud appear to have believed the story.

Some Nigerians who looked up to him prayed for his quick release while others bemoaned the shame his recent arrest will bring to Nigerians.
Meanwhile, we have yet to confirm this report, as he has not reacted on his Instagram page. Considering he is very active on Instagram, he must have seen the report and he must is supposed to have debunked it if it weren’t true.
His last post was when thanked for the many blessings in his life while showing off his new Rolls Royce Cullinan 2020 worth over N200 million. The new car added to his already expensive fleet of cars.
Even if he was truly arrested, he remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
