Jibril Aminu From Sudan: Who is He? And Is He President Buhari’s Clone?

Jibril aminu from sudan or president buhari

Nigeria was thrown into an uproar after renewed claims by Nnamdi Kanu that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead. He insisted that the person currently occupying the presidential villa in Aso Rock is actually Jibril Aminu from Sudan.

His claims have resulted in a lot of Nigerians asking questions like who is Jibril Aminu of Sudan? Where is he? And is he truly impersonating our president? Is President Buhari dead?

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has always been at loggerheads with the present APC administration.

After he was released from his last arrest, he has since flown out of the country — and is said to be in Israel.

Nnamdi Kanu taking to his official Twitter account posted saying: “My heart goes out to the family of Habibu Almu the diplomat brutally murdered in Sudan over his involvement in the recruitment of Jubril the impostor.

“He’s gone but truth cannot be killed. Sudanese police/Interpol must uncover who in Aso Rock did this & bring them to justice.”

That’s just one out of the numerous comments he has made regarding the supposed impostor occupying Aso Rock.

Who is Aminu Jibril from Sudan?

Aminu Jibril is ostensibly a fictional character who supposedly hails from Sudan and was recruited to impersonate the ‘late President Muhammadu Buhari’.

Facebook and several Nigerian forums, which have always presented a means for circulation of both fake and authentic news, have played their parts in ensuring those claims go viral.

While there are no concrete pieces of evidence to back Kanu’s claims, several photos have surfaced online pointing out the alleged differences between Aminu Jubril and Buhari.

A photo was, at some point, shared by a certain Facebook user claiming to have discovered the difference between President Muhammadu Buhari and Aminu Jibrin from Sudan.

The supposed Aminu Jibrin is believed to be the one in white while President Buhari is said to be the one in Black.

Is president Buhari dead?

Based on the information we’ve gathered, everything appears to be a propaganda and conspiracy theory, since there are no evidence to back Nnamdi Kanu’s claims.

Therefore, the obvious and simple answer to that question is no.

At least, as far as we know, President Buhari is alive he campaigned for the 2019 general election and won his presidential bid.

He is still the commander in chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This fact remains valid until proven otherwise.

Although, his inactiveness to recent happenings in the country has led to the resurgence of the speculations that he died in 2017.

For example, the president is yet to address the nation concerning the Lekki massacre and the kidnapping of 333 schoolboys in Katsina state etc.

Furthermore, it has been a long time since the president addressed a nation in a live broadcast.

He seldom addresses the nation and even when he does, it is always a pre-recorded speech.

This has repeatedly caused an uproar in the country with most people suggesting that the president is really dead.

But No. The president is not dead. His not responding to issues that concerns the country may be his own style of governance and until there is an official statement confirming his death, General Muhammadu Buhari is still alive.

Shehu Sani Reacts

Shehu Sani, a senator from Kaduna Central, took to his Twitter account to blast rumors claiming that the real Buhari was dead and the President in Aso Rock was Jibril El Sudan.

He said in his tweet: “There’s no one and nothing like Jibril El sudan. Buhari ‘Caesar’ is healthy and has no double.

“But you can literally refer Jibrin as an imaginative and mythical character in Shakespearean Nigeria.

It’s natural to creatively invent characters and promote conjectures in our theatre of the absurd,” he added.

President Buhari reacts

The matter became so disturbing, to the point that President Muhammadu Buhari had to address those claims during a summit in Poland.

He said while giving a brief speech: “A lot of people hoped that I died during my ill health. Some people even met my vice-president asking him to consider them for vice president since I was dead. That embarrassed him a lot.

He concluded saying “it’s the real me, I assure you. I will soon celebrate my 76th birthday and I’ll still go strong”.

Nnamdi Kanu has, meanwhile, promised to expose the activities of the Cabal. So, fingers crossed. Let’s see how things turn out to be.

Also in 2020 the president is celebrating his 78th birthday and his spokes person, Femi Adesina, has yet again, reiterated that the president is not dead and he is the one still ruling the nation not Jibril of Sudan.
