Manchester United have one leg in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after cruising to victory against LASK. The entertaining fixture saw retired Nigerian international Odion Ighalo open the scoring for the Red Devils.

In a bizarre situation, the match was played out in an empty stadium due to coronavirus worries across Europe.

United had a slow start in the first half, having to wait for 27 minutes to open the scoring chart. Odion Ighalo netted in a left-footed thunderbolt after a wonderful run and pass from Bruno Fernandes presented him with a half-chance.

In the 57th minute, Daniel James ended his 32 games run without a goal after driving in from the left side and firing a right-footed shot that beat the helpless goalkeeper, with Ighalo providing the assist.

In the 82nd minute, Fred played a sublime through ball that left Juan Mata one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The diminutive Spaniard put the ball in the back of the net as calm as you’d like.

In the 91st minute, Mason Greenwood put his goal-scoring acumen into display yet again after beating the from a very tight angle to make it 4 goals for Manchester United without reply.

Finally, Andreas Pereira made it 5 for the Red Devils after LASK goalkeeper fluffed the chance to make a decent save from his long-distance attempt.
