Ighalo nets as Manchester United Trash Club Brugge 5-0

Manchester United smashed 5 past Club Brugge to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League with a 6-1 aggregate.

Club Brugge had earlier in the first leg played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Brugge’s stadium, Jan Breydel Stadium.

However, today at the Old Trafford was a different story as Ole Gunner Solskjear’s men trashed Brugges 5-0.

Brugge’s defender, Simon Deli committed a foul by using his hand to stop Mc Tominay’s shot. The handball resulted in a penalty against his team and he was also sent off the pitch.

Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot; putting Manchester United in the lead.

In the 34th minute of the game came Ighalo with the second goal for the night and his first for the club. Mata provided the assist for Ighalo’s goal.

Mc Tominay netted in the third goal for United by converting a brilliant pass from Fred.

The fourth and fifth goals of the night came from Fred after Bruno Fernandez was substituted and Lingard brought in.

Lingard who just came in providing the assist for the fourth goal while Chong provided the fifth assist for Fred, sealing up the night’s win.

This is one among the very few United’s biggest home wins in a competitive game since the departure of Alex Ferguson.
