The self-acclaimed prophet of God who walks on air, and can summon angels on command, Shepherd Bushiri, AKA Major 1, is widely regarded as one of the wealthiest pastors in the world and one of the most affluent people in Africa. He drives some of the most expensive cars in the world and owns several houses, private jets, and big businesses.

He wears expensive designer shoes and clothes adorned with diamonds.

The doors of blessings opened up for him after he founded Enlightened Christian Gathering, a church headquartered in Pretoria and with branches in several African countries.

Bushiri was born on February 20, 1983 to a Malawian father and a Zambian mother in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi. However, he was raised in Mzuzu in northern Malawi.

He has now grown to become one of the richest pastors in the world.

He isn’t just considered one of the richest pastors in Africa. He has several luxury cars, houses, and four private jets to show for it.

How many cars does Bushiri have?

Shepherd clearly enjoys a lavish lifestyle, as his cars are worth a fortune.

His fleet includes a Rolls Royce Black Badge worth roughly $600,000, a Bentley Bentayga Limited Edition worth over $300,000, and an Aston Martin One -77 worth above $1.7 million.

He gifted his wife with a Mercedes Benz G Class on her birthday in August, 2017.

And in December, 2017 he bought a Maserati Levante worth an roughly $77,000 to celebrate the 6th birthday of his daughter.

The truth is, Shepherd Bushiri has so many cars, that we can’t even name them all. The rest are luxury cars as well but aren’t as expensive as the ones we’ve mentioned.

How many private jets does Bushiri have?

In addition to the fleet of cars, Bushiri also owns four private jets, according to the BBC. In fact, he reportedly acquired 3 of them within just two years.

So, how does Bushri make so much money?

On a regular Sunday, thousands of people gather to hear the Prophet preach and potentially pick up some of his specially designed merchandise on sale at stalls dotted around the large church complex.

At his church, they sell a so-called “miracle oil”, calendars and wrist bands, branded towels, T-shirts, caps and so much more.

Now, that’s a lot of money.

Bushiri also has several mines and a number of hotels through his investment company Shepherd Bushiri Investments, headquartered in Johannesburg’s plush suburb of Sandton.

According to thesouthafrican.com, Bushiri worth an estimated $150 million.

Clearly, he leveraged on his church to delve into other profitable big businesses.

However, he hasn’t stopped profiting from his church, because even as we speak, many of his zealous members are haunting for his miracle oil.

Controversies surrounding Bushiri’s wealth

In February 2019, he lost access to one of his aircraft after the Asset Forfeiture Unit claimed that the evangelist had forged loan documents to acquire the luxurious jet, as reported by ewn.co.za.

He is also facing fraud charges in South Africa. Bushiri, his wife, and 2 other persons allegedly ran a fraudulent investment scheme that made south Africans lose roughly $6.6 million.

Aside from all that, many people continue to question the legitimacy of the many miracles that have made thousands troop his church.
