Adamawa State is located in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria. it was created on 27 August 1991 with its capital at Yola. Adamawa state ranks as one the largest state in Nigeria and it is home to key universities in the country.

Adamawa state university was established in 2002. It is funded by the Adamawa state government and located in Mubi, Adamawa state Nigeria.

The university welcomes students from other parts of the country regardless of their religious and cultural backgrounds.

2. American University of Nigeria (AUN)

The American University of Nigeria was established in 2004 by former vice president Atiku Abubakar. The University is located in Yola, the state capital of Adamawa. It was formally called the ABTI American University before becoming the American University of Nigeria. Students were first admitted to the school in 2005.

The university operates an American style of higher education at all levels. The institution is approved by the National Universities Commissions (NUC).

3. MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY(MAUTECH)

MAUTECH was established in 1981. The university was formally known as the Federal University of technology. As its name implies, it offers courses in Pure and Applied Sciences; Agriculture, Engineering, Management, and Information Technology and other related disciplines.

The university attracts numerous applicants from all over the country and nearby countries.
