Police in Nairobi, Kenya, has launched an investigation into the alleged killing of two children by their 24-year-old-mother on Saturday night.
Kenyan News outlet, Citizentv, reported that the woman stabbed her two kids to death on Saturday night at their Kayole home, Kenya.
The woman, identified as Winfred Nduku, lost her cool when her mother told her to fix dinner for her children, aged 7 and 2, to eat.
The children who were already sleeping had gone to bed hungry because she did not return home on time to fix dinner for them before they slept.
However, upon returning home, she was on her phone and was not ready to make dinner. So her mother had to ask her, why she was yet to make dinner.
According to reports, upon hearing the question which most likely infuriated her, she dashed into the kitchen, seized a knife and started stabbing the two kids; then made to stab herself with the same knife.
She also made attempts to stab her mother too, however, she was stopped and thrown out of the house.
Her mother told police officers that prior to the unfortunate incident, her daughter had been threatening to kill the children.
