Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University — named after Nigeria’s first prime minister — is a federal university of technology located in Bauchi, northern Nigeria.
Every year the school offers admissions to thousands of interested candidates. If you’re one of the applicants, then you must quickly check when the list is out to know if your name is among. After which, you must quickly pay the admission acceptance fee and then commence registration.

ATBU Admission List 2020:
- To check if you’ve been offered admission into ATBU, visit http://atbu.edu.ng/#/ug/checkshortlistedlist on your phone or desktop computer.
- Enter your JAMB registration number and click on the search button just below.
- Wait till the website scan the admission list and give you a feedback.
In the end, you’ll either receive a message saying “congratulations, you have been offered provisional admission into ATBU” or a message saying “sorry, you have not been offered admission.
What to do after gaining admission into ATBU:
Candidates who have been offered DE / UTME admission into ATBU must visit JAMB CAPS website to accept the admission as quickly as possible. Furthermore, they must appear at the the screening centre in school with the following documents:
- Online screening slip
- Physical screening invitation letter
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
- Downloaded O’level Results from the internet at not more than 2 sittings
- Scratch card PIN (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GRADE II)
- Original Certificates
- Certificate of Citizenship
- NCE/NDE/IJMB for Direct Entry Candidates
What to do if your name is not in 2020 ATBU admission list:
First of all, you must have it at the back of your mind that ATBU offers admission in batches. Therefore, you must make sure all the admission list are out before panicking. Also, you enter your JAMB registration number properly.
If you’re sure all the ATBU admission list are out and you still didn’t find your name, then you must take another JAMB form and try again for the next year.
