Some yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly stormed Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja. The aim of their mission is not clear at the moment, but reports confirm they made away with vital hospital documents.
According to eyewitnesses, they made away with computers and other sensitive materials from the administrative department of the health institution.
They also made away with phones of hospital workers and patients.
It is not clear what exact documents they were in search of and who sent them. However, there’s an ongoing COVID-19 dispute between the NCDC and the state governor, Yahaya Bellow.
“They operated for about thirty minutes and left the scene with victims crying for help.” The Nation reported, saying all efforts to get the response of the Kogi State Police Command proved abortive.
