Kano has recorded its first covid-19 case today, 11th of April.

According to The Nation, a top government official disclosed that the patient is a retired technocrat.

Governor Abdullahi Umar is in a crucial meeting with health officials to inform the public officially, this is according to reports.

The COVID-19 patient traveled from Lagos to Abuja and finally landed in Kano.

The reactivated COVID-19 laboratory test centre at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital diagnosed him of the deadly virus where he tested positive.

He has reportedly moved to the isolation centre in Kwanar Dawaki, Kano

The source further revealed that an investigation is on going for contact tracing.
