Nigeria records 10 new cases of Covid-19; tally rises to 224

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 10 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the nationwide tally to 224.

From the ten new cases, there are 6 in Lagos, 2 in Edo State, and 2 in the FCT.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Nigeria has now risen to 5 as the nation recorded another death today.

This is coming just one week into the lockdown imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Abuja, Lagos and Ogun State just 1 week ago.

Without doubt, Nigerians will be hoping to see a decline in the number of cases in hopes the shutdown will not be extended.
