Nigeria records 35 new cases of COVID-19; Nationwide tally now 442

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced thirty-five new cases of COVID-19; the disease caused by the deadly coronavirus.

Lagos State has 19, FCT has 9, Kano has 5, while the remaining two cases are in Oyo. As at 10:20 pm, 16 April, the total number of cases are now 442.

Currently, Nigeria has recorded 13 deaths from coronavirus while 152 persons have recovered from the disease and left hospital.

Below is a breakdown of the number of COVID-19 cases per state:

  • FCT- 67
  • Kano- 21
  • Osun- 20
  • Edo- 15
  • Oyo- 13
  • Ogun- 9
  • Katsina- 7
  • Bauchi- 6
  • Kaduna- 6
  • Akwa Ibom- 6
  • Kwara- 4
  • Delta- 4
  • Ondo- 3
  • Enugu- 2
  • Ekiti- 2
  • Rivers-2
  • Niger- 2
  • Benue- 1
  • Anambra- 1
