Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rise to 276 as NCDC confirms 22 new cases

Nigeria confirms twenty-two new cases of COVID-19: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo.

The National centre for Disease Control took to its official Twitter handle to announce this development.

It wrote: “Twenty two new cases of #COVID-19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCt, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo.

As at 09:00 pm 8th April, there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Forty-four have been discharged with six death,” it added.

The health agency went on to give a breakdown of the confirmed cases as they have been reported in each state across the federation.

According to the report by the NCDC, Lagos state, FCT and Osun state have the highest number of confirmed cases.
