A woman has alleged that a policeman who was bribed by a ’30-year-old rapist’ beat her up and sent her away after she reported that her 5-year-old daughter was raped.
The incident reportedly took place in Aba, Abia State, in the southeastern part of Nigeria.
The woman who kept crying inconsolably narrated how she was left stranded with nowhere to go.
“So a 5-year-old was raped by a 30-year-old and the Nigerian Police dismissed the case asking the mother to leave the station with her child,” a Twitter user wrote while reporting the incident.
“She was found crying in the dark of the night. This happened in Abia. @PoliceNG You need to do something about this immediately

The video has since gone viral and attracted outrage from Nigerians.
Also, the Nigeria police has reacted to the video and revealed that they are currently looking into the matter.
