British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson discharged from hospital after COVID-19 battle

British Prime Minister, BORIS Johnson has been discharged from hospital after battling coronavirus.

The Prime Minister was diagnosed with to have the deadly virus two weeks ago with mild symptoms that included cough and a fever and was working from home in the first few days.

However, a few days later his condition worsened and he was on April 5th transferred to St. Thomas hospital in London.

The following days he was transferred to the Intensive unit.

The Prime Minister had received oxygen, however, he was not put onto a ventilator; he spent three days at the intensive care unit before moving back to the regular ward.

On Thursday night, Johnson while speaking in a public statement for the first time after leaving the intensive care unit he said, “I can’t thank them enough, I owe them my life, of course referring to the health caregivers.

The 55-year-old has asked Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab to handle the nation’s response to the pandemic.

As of Sunday in which, the U.K. is expected to surpass 10,000 coronavirus-related deaths.
