Jamb suspends services nationwide

The board has suspended services that require physical contacts in its offices and centres nationwide for two weeks.

This has become inevitable following the continuous spread of the novel coronavirus.

The board also suspended all services requiring biometric verification indefinitely.

According to The Nation, this was confirmed in a statement by JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Tuesday in Abuja.

The statement reads: “This is to inform all candidates and members of the general public that, in line with (the) professional advice of government on (the) safety of all persons in relation to the Covid -19 pandemic, the board has temporarily suspended all activities requiring physical contacts in its offices and centres nationwide.

“All services requiring biometric verification are suspended until further notice.

“This situation will be reviewed regularly and as soon as the circumstance permits, all suspended services would be resolved without delay.”

“Meanwhile, the board has upgraded its ticketing online services which are available to attend to enquiries, complaints and to handle some services.

Moreover, he continued, “Candidates can access the services on the board’s website www.jamb.org.ng and also through candidates profile.

“Enquiries and complaints can be lodged on support.jamb.gov.ng. The general public is assured of prompt and adequate services online,” he added.
