COVID-19: Buhari Orders 2 months of Cash Transfer, food for the ‘vulnerable’ during shutdown

During President Buhari’s brief speech, in which he imposed a curfew on Lagos, the FCT, and Ogun state, he revealed that Government will cater to the less privileged in society during the 2 weeks of lockdown.

The president disclosed that he directed unconditional cash transfers for the next two months which shall be paid immediately.

Also, he revealed that the internally displaced persons will receive two months of food rations in the coming weeks.

“For the most vulnerable in our society, I have directed that the conditional cash transfers for the next two months be paid immediately,” The president said
