In his statement, he disclosed that the Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki, coordinated the donation.

“This global virus outbreak will require nations, continents and smaller communities to pull together to contribute their resources and support one another,” Gbemisola Saraki was quoted as saying.

However, they did not disclose the total sum of the donation.

Meanwhile, several other prominent persons have donated huge sums of money in hopes of containing the disease early enough and supporting those who’d be greatly affected by a potential lockdown.

The United Bank for Africa donated the sum of N5 billion, while Otedola, Dangote, Adbulsamad Rabiu, all donated the sum of 1 billion naira each.
