According to reports reaching us, Mr Felix Edore, a 48-year-old father of six, has committed suicide in the Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was ascertained that the 48-year-old man took his life after finding out that his wife whom he has been married to for over 16 years was supposedly cheating on him.
the victim who was a cab driver commuting between Abraka-Eku and Sapele in Delta state died on Saturday.
According to news gathered by Southern City News, Mr Felix took his life by drinking a popular insecticide, Sniper, on Friday.
Although he was hurriedly taken to a private clinic in the Amukpe area of Sapele, where the doctors tried to save his life, he passed away on Saturday.
According to a neighbour, identified as Mama Rita, “Felix decided to end it all when he speculated that his wife was revelling in extra-marital affairs.
“The deceased was married to the wife and they had six children.
Mr Felix was always complaining of his wife’s supposed infidelity and most often times they would argue over it, and he was always threatening to kill himself because of her cheating.
“So, that day, we never knew that he had already purchased the Sniper and before we knew what was happening, he drank the insecticide in his car and people, who saw him, raised the alarm; that was how we found out and rushed him to hospital, but he died on Saturday.”
