Fela songs about corruption in Nigeria didn’t change anything – Wizkid says

Nigerian singer Wizkid has called on Nigerians to do more than just talking and singing. According to him, legendary singer Fela Kuti sang about bad leadership. However, nothing changed until now.

He made the remarks in response to a fan who asked him to sing a song highlighting some of the critical issues going on in this country.

The fan made that plea shortly after the singer took to the microblogging platform to lash out at the government for spending a mammoth N27 billion on the renovation of the National Assembly.

In response to his tweet, the fan wrote saying, “@wizkidayo I’d be so excited if you can just drop a song highlighting some of the critical issues going on in this country.

“I trust and believe it will go a long way. God bless you king Crown, massive respect Raised fist for you.”

In response to the tweep, Wizkid wrote saying, “Fela made songs before I was born about the issues of bad leadership and governance and even to this present administration!!

“My brudda nothing has changed. We gats do more.”
