Femi Otedola emerges Philanthropist of the year at the 8th ALM Award

The 2019 African Leadership Magazine Person of the Year award for Philanthropy & Charitable Contributions to Society has been awarded to Popular businessman, Femi Otedola.

You will recall that in 2019, Otedola made a huge donation of the sum of N5billion to charity. With that donation, he made history because that is the highest donation made by one individual in Nigeria.

Mr Ken Giami, The Publisher of the Magazine was the one who revealed the list of winners at the UK Head Office of the group.

Mr Ken said the winners shall be presented with their awards on February 28th, 2020 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The event will attract a good number of African policy, diplomatic and business leaders.

The award is mainly by voting, it had over 300,000 entries in the intensely contested polls for the 7 distinct divisions.

The African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year is an annual award meant for distinguished Africans recognised to have created the necessary impacts in the year under review

The nomination is the first step in the process, subsequently, the voting process and the final announcements of winners.
