How Principal Died after saving Trapped Students at Lagos Blast site – Bethlehem Girls College

The principal of Bethlehem Girls College was reportedly killed as a result of the gas explosion that rocked Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

According to eyewitness reports, she was able to rescue all the students students under her care.

One Emmanuel Ajibulu who confirmed the news described Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha as the younger sister of Advocate WB Anslem Alokha.

“Dear Esteemed Worthy brothers and sisters,” Emmanuel Ajibulu wrote. “We have just received the news of the demise of Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha, Principal of Bethlehem High School Abule Ado involved in the petrol pipeline explosion that occurred earlier today. Late Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha is the younger sister of Our Worthy Advocate WB Anslem Alokha.”

He added “Late Rev. Sr. Henrietta Alokha rescued all the children under her care from the pipeline fire and could not make it herself.

Other people who claimed to be eye witness stated that the roof fell on her after she had rescued the trapped students.

“Rev. Sr. Henrietta Alokha SSH, Principal of BethlehemGirlsCollege, Abúlé Ado (after Festac, Lagos) struggled to rescue her students in the pipeline fire explosion in the morning of March 15, 2020. The roof fell on her in the process. Kindly pray for the repose of her soul,” Augustine Mario, MFV wrote.

“Rev sis Henrietta Alokha [SSH] at her death was the Principal of Bethlehem Girls College Abule Ado. She saved her daughters from the explosion that rocked Lagos today but couldn’t make it. Tell the angels that here is ugly and remind God of our suffering and pain. Rest in Peace,” The 5th of the Six wrote.
