However, the spread of the virus has resulted in an increase in the purchase of the hand sanitizers and consequently, scarcity.
With this in mind, we will be sharing some tips on how to make a simple hand sanitizer at home that could be used to clean the hands regularly.
Ingredients needed to make hand sanitizers
To make hand sanitizers at home, you need the following ingredients:
- Glycerol or aloe Vera gel
- Isopropyl alcohol
- A spoon and bowl for mixing it
- Hand sanitizer bottle
- A funnel – This is optional
- Essential oils – This is also optional.
How to make hand sanitizers
Step 1: Add 2/3 cup 99% isopropyl alcohol to the bowl
Step 2: Add 1/3 cup aloe vera gel (or glycerol)
Step 3: Add 4-5 drops essential oil (like lavender, vanilla, peppermint, grapefruit)
Step 4: Pour into hand sanitizer bottle and make sure you close it immediately.
