Nigerian singer, Davido, has revealed that he doesn’t charge the singers signed to the Davido Music Worldwide record label any money.
He went on to mention their name saying, “I have never collected any money from any of my artists ever. I have never collected money from Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo Drizzy, etc.
“I have never collected money from anyone. Anyone. Ever”.
In fact, he used his funds to sponsor their some of their proects when they didn’t have any money. Also, they stayed in his house for some time.
He made all these revelations during an interview with Ubi Franklin on Talk With Ubi.
As a matter of fact, not so much is known about Davido. He appears to have a non-greedy side to him. Not that making money off artists signed to one’s record label is necessarily greediness.
After all, charging them wouldn’t be a bad thing because he spends his time on social media promoting their songs and uses his resources to fund some of their projects.
Davido, however, appears not to care about the money so much. According to him, the artists signed up to his record label have become dear friends to him.
Meaning, he values the friendship more than monetary benefits.
In other news, Davido recently lost a dear friend, which made him cry bitterly.
