Nollywood actress, Christabel Egbenya, revealed that she has sued The SunNewsOnline over their frontpage news about her.
Yesterday, NaijaHomeBased carried a report quoting SunNewsOnline as the source. In the post, they claimed that Christabel Egbenya had an interview with Inside Nollywood where she revealed that she needed a man badly. They went on to quote her as saying she doesn’t mind being a man’s third wife.
However, she has now come out to debunk the report.
“It is most unfortunate that the management of any news media would make such publication without taking prior steps to verify the truth of it,” she wrote.
“I am speaking with my lawyers already. They will in due course get in touch with the management of Sun Newspapers to exact the appropriate remedy and clear my hard-earned reputation.
“I appeal to all my fans to stay calm as I thank them for always standing by me,” she added.
