The Imo State Police Command has arrested a man, Uchenna Egbuchulem, 47, for allegedly impregnating his biological daughter.
Mr Egbuchulam has been forcefully having canal knowledge of her since her mother left him.
According to reports by The Nation, the suspect, hails from Nduhu Alaenyi Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state.
The police arrested him on the 12th of May, 2020.
The operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters, Mbaitoli, received the report from an informant.
The police source said that the victim, Adaku Egbuchulem, 17, was still a baby when her father separated from her Ivorian mother.
Reports have it that the girl’s father, Mr Egbuchulam, started to take advantage of her; forcing her to lay with him and threatening to murder her with a machete.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Orlando, said an investigation has been launched and that the suspect would be charged to court.
