Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, just like many other Nigerians, have reacted to 75-year-old Gambari’s appointment as new COS.
Reacting to the appointment, Reno sarcastically lauded the president for heeding to their initial complaint and acted in response by appointing an older COS.
has greeted President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a 75-year-old man as his new Chief of staff.
According to Reno, we complained of Abba Kyari’s age (67) and Buhari heard the complaints and improved on the age by appointing a 75-year-old to succeed a 67-year-old!
President Buhari announced Ibrahim Gambari as his CoS on Wednesday, 13th May, 2020.
This appointment became necessary after the demise of the president’s former chief of staff, Abba Kyari.
In any case, Gambari’s appointment has resulted in wide spread criticism from some quarters, because of Gambari’s age and others, his ethnicity.
One prominent Nigerian who had to complain is former presidential aide, Femi Fani Kayode, who had a lot to say about the whole appointment saga; especially regarding his ethnicity.
Another former presidential aide has come out to talk about the age of the new Chief of Staff.
He tweeted, : “I commend General @MBuhari for being a listening leader.
“We complained of Abba Kyari’s age (67) and Buhari heard us and improved on the age by appointing a 75-year-old to succeed a 67-year-old!
“In Buhari’s Nigeria, the young die so that the old may live!
