UNIBEN Admission requirements
In order to be considered for admission to study at the University of Benin, you must meet with certain departmental requirements along with several other general requirements.
UTME requirements
To gain admission to UNIBEN through UTME, you must score at least five (5) credit passes at Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) in not more than two sittings.
- Your 5 credit passes in SSCE must include English Language and Mathematics irrespective of the department (course) you want to apply for.
- You must meet all the specific departmental requirements, including the SSCE subject combination and minimum UTME aggregate score.
- Finally, it is compulsory to register and take part in UNIBEN Post UTME screening exercise.
Generally, candidates are advised not to score an aggregate that’s less than 180 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Direct Entry (DE) requirements
- To gain admission into UNIBEN through Direct Entry, candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE in not more than two sittings.
- Additionally, candidates must have at least two advanced level passes in OND with credit level; or NCE, also with credit level.
