Police in Webuye, Bungoma County, “are presently holding a man for allegedly beating his three-year-old stepson to death for wetting the bed.”
According to reports from Witnesses who spoke to Citizen Digital, the man beat up the child harshly then abandoned him by the roadside early Thursday morning.
Upset residents of the area pounced on the man, attempting to carry out mob act but the police came on the scene and contained the situation.
Citizentv reports that “the suspect is now being held at the Webuye Police Station as further investigations into the incident continue.”
The body of the deceased 3-year-old has since been transferred to the Webuye mortuary.
