Many people have been feared dead after a storey-building under construction along Musa Yar’ dua Drive in Owerri, Imo State collapsed.
According to Eyewitnesses, some residents were also trapped in the building, which collapsed at about 4pm on Thursday, 30th of April.
Fire-fighters and passersby had a hard time trying to rescue some of the occupants.
Fifteen persons have been rescued from the rubble while one person has been reported dead.
According to the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, some people were trapped inside the building which he said is still under construction.
