Meet 1st ABU Student to Graduate With 1st Class Honours From Pol Sci. in 40yrs

• Student breaks hex, Becomes the First Political Science student to graduate with a first-class in forty years from ABU Zaria
• Takes to his Twitter handles to celebrate himself and another coursemate

A student named Mohammad Abdullahi Lere took to twitter to celebrate his success after he broke a forty-year-old jinx.

According to Abdool, he is one of the students graduated with a first-class from the department of political science; a feat no one has achieved for the past forty years now

Taking to his Twitter page, he explained that, he and a coursemate identified as @zizoholic graduated with 4.52 Cumulative Grade Point Average.

He went on to congratulate his coursemate for also breaking the 40-year-old record.

“Glory be to God Almighty, My four-year journey in ABU Zaria ends with a B.Sc. Political Science (first-class honours). Also, the first to obtain a 1st class in Political Science in Ahmadu Bello University in over 50years.
Record Broken, Alhamdulillah!!!,” Abdool Moh said.

Although from the post above he said 50 years, he later corrected it, saying the error was due to the students in the department always referring to the years as 50.

He said, “UPDATE: for clarity, I just got a stronger confirmation that a first-class in Political Science discipline was last issued by the department in the 1980s, that’s approximately 40yrs not 50yrs. My mistake was due to the traditional “50yrs” saying among we students”.
