Nigerian Embassy rescues lady put up for sale for $1,000 in Lebanon

Officials of the Nigerian mission in Beirut, Lebanon, have rescued the young woman that was put up for sale by a certain Wael Jerro.

Recall that NaijaHomeBased reported that Wael Jerro was arrested after he listed 30-year-old Nigerian, Peace Busari Ufuoma to a Facebook group called ‘Buy and Sell Lebanon.’

Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, took to Twitter to announce that Peace has been rescued.

“Update on Nigerian girl put up for sale by a Lebanese, Wael Jerro on Facebook, Dabiri wrote. “She has been rescued and safely with officials of the Nigerian Mission in Beirut. Thanks, ⁦⁦@cbngov_akin1⁩ . for bringing the matter to our attention. More updates later,” she added.

Meanwhile, the official page of the Nigerians in Diaspora thanked the Nigerian Embassy in lebanon for springing to action quickly and rescuing the woman from her traffickers.
