A 48-year-old pastor has been arrested for defiling four minors aged between six and 11, three of them siblings were left under his care.
The oldest sibling is nine years old, and the youngest six. The incident occurred in Edo state.
The man whose name is Otobong Emerson is a pastor of Believers’ Ministry Church Incorporated. He was paraded at the state police command on Friday May 8.
Otobong who spoke to Newsmen said the rape happened between the months of December 2019 to February 2020.
According to him, an evil spirit led him into committing the crime, and that after he has sexually abused the minors several times, he confessed to his church general overseer.
Otobong said he had to confess because he grew a conscience.
”It happened in my room. I am their pastor. They were given to me to care for. It was my conscience that even made me report myself to my GO.” Otobong said
