Some physically challenged residents in Lagos State have taken to Mobolaji Johnson Avenue, Alausa in Ikeja, to stage a protest as regards the Okada ban in Lagos state.

Early last week, the government of Lagos state placed a ban in the use of Okada and tricycles in some Local government areas of the state.

That move has attracted mixed reactions. While the populace and other benefactors are critical of the move, several top people in the government have defended the reason for the ban.

For instance, former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola said whoever cared about security will support the ban.

However, many people affected by the ban are not having any of what the government has to say to defend such move.

Several disabled individuals whose livelihood depend on the Okada business took to the streets of Lagos earlier today.

They were carrying various placards and lamented that the restriction will force them to go back to the street as poverty-stricken alms beggars.

They reportedly cried out that driving motorcycle and tricycle has been their source of livelihood since they quit begging.

In another report, we told you that a recent protest against the ban turned violent, as police officers made efforts disperse protesters.
