Rasaq who has now been arrested and detained at Police Station doesn’t deny taking part in the crime. However, he insists it was his wife who masterminded the whole attack.

The victim, Emeka Anozie engaged the services of a chef to cook food to be shared to people in their neighborhood during the current lockdown.

However, Razaq and his wife disagreed with the decision and warned Anozie from carrying on with it.

He, notwithstanding, ignored them and went ahead to distribute the food to neighbours.

Thereafter, according to Anozie, Rasaq’s children attacked his house by throwing stones at his window. He then went to their mother to ask her to control her children. Instead of cautioning them, the woman flared up and threatened to deal with him.

According to Anozie, the next day, about 14 armed men invaded his apartment, beat him up, collected his phones, then dragged him outside in an attempt to take him away in their waiting Toyota car.

Fortunately, neighbours came to his rescue, leading to the armed men fleeing the vicinity.

Meanwhile, Anozie was injured and bleeding from his face and around his swollen eyes. To that effect, he was rushed to hospital to receive treatment.

In the process of receiving treatment, he received information that another set of armed men in military uniforms allegedly invaded his apartment looking for him. When they didn’t find him, they attacked two of his younger brothers, destroyed his two televisions, other properties inside, looted his safe containing huge sums of money, and escaped. Again, Razaq was the primary suspect.

According to PMExpress, Razaq admitted to hiring the assassins including the armed soldiers to attack Mr. Anozie and blamed everything on his wife and in-laws, who he said masterminded the attack.

The report also added that Rasaq is currently in detention at the Idimu Police Station while his wife is still at large.
