Ebi Andrew, a 13-year-old prodigal son, reportedly stabbed his 20-year-old elder brother Tarikebina Andrew to death after they got into an argument.
According to reports, Ebi Andrew had been sleeping outside with friends, which prompted his elder brother to approach him to convince him to go back home.
However, it resulted in an argument following Ebi’s reluctance to go back home. Meanwhile, in the middle of the argument, Ebi reportedly dashed into his friend’s kitchen, grabbed a knife and used it to stab Tarikebina.
The injured man was subsequently rushed to the hospital; however, he couldn’t make it as he was pronounced dead consequent of the internal injury he sustained from the stab.
Meanwhile, their father Andrew Okpofemi, in an attempt to cover up the crime quickly buried Tarikebina.
However, concerned community members reported the case to the Police after which, Mr Andrew Okpfemi and Ebikari were both arrested.
“The said Ebikari Andrew took a kitchen knife and stabbed his elder brother, Fineboy Andrew, in the stomach. Their father, one Andrew Okpofemi, rushed the injured victim to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The suspect has been arrested and the murder weapon is recovered. An investigation is ongoing,” he added.
The incident reportedly took place at Jehovah Witness Road, off Goodnews Street in Azikoro, Bayelsa State.
