Politician, Educationalist and writer, Remi Sonaiya has slammed Senator Dino Malaye for making a joke with Coronavirus.
The senator took to Social media to talk about what he called the “The New Nigerian Order”.
He tweeted, “The New Nigerian Order. People who live abroad used to be scared of villagers when they return home. but now, villagers are scared of them!!!
The former presidential candidate of KOWA party Remi Sonaiya took to the comment section of the post to react to the post, cautioning him.
Remi Sonaiya tweeted: “I believe that the exalted position you occupy demands a lot more seriousness.
This kind of joke – plus the singing and dancing – should be left to others. #SeriousLeadership, ” she added.
Dino, is popularly referred to as the Singing Senator because of the remarkable songs he comes up with to address issues.
Again Dino replied to Remi obviously not happy with her reaction to his joke.
Replying to Remi he said, “We in exalted positions have blood flowing through our veins not kerosene.
“Hypocrisy of leaders is responsible for the disconnect with the people.
How does cracking a joke affect productivity? He asked.
I sing & moved highest number of motions and bills..i beg those that sing not wetin dem do?”
