It was an unfortunate day for some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) as things did not work out for them today the way they had it planned.

These SARS Operatives had today, February 8, allegedly forced their way into people’s houses in Bonsaac GRA Asaba, Delta State’s capital.

They entered the houses to seize phones of the people.

However, things didn’t end well for them as some of the residents of the area quickly put a call across to a known activist in the area

This activist in the person of Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed that he got a distress call from residents of the area.

After which he put a call across to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa.

Mr Hafiz then asked him to capture the plate number of the vehicle

Subsequently, he gave the police commissioner the details of the SARS team

The team was led by one Inspector Cultist, so another team was then sent over to disarm their colleagues.

Mr Harrison who took to his twitter handle to confirm this incident wrote:

SARS OFFICERS DISARMED IN ASABA, DELTA STATE.

“I received a distress call from residents of Bonsaac GRA Asaba, that some policemen were breaking into their house searching and seizing phones. No man can fight a man with a firearm.”

“I quickly called the Commissioner of Police CP Hafiz and he gave me strict instruction to capture their vehicle number.”

I got there at 10:00 am and behold the #SARS officer was led by my village brother Inspector Cultist. He pleaded I forgive and help him kill the case. THE SYMBOL OF JUSTICE KNOWS NO BROTHER OR SISTER.”

I quickly called the Commissioner of Police and gave him their details and in less than 5 minutes, he sent a team.”

END IMPUNITY – END POLICE ABUSE.

However, after a few hours, Mr Harrison again shared another post in what looked like one of the officers asking him to help put an end to the issue over the phone.
