Following the dethronement of Muhammad Sanusi as Emir of Kano, Sanusi’s library is no longer the way it used to be.

People who are acquainted with the recently dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi would know that he is a lover of books.

Apparently, the former Emir is a lover of books, his massive book collection in library speaks for him.

Sanusi had over 40,000 books; approximately. they also include journals, as can be seen from his expensive library.

With everything that happened to him on Monday, March 9, 2020, the emir’s principal private secretary, Mujtaba Abba, revealed that Sanusi was very concerned about his books.

Abba noted that the books, worth ₦200 million, have been safely evacuated from the palace.

Speaking to Daily Nigerian, Abba revealed that in a conservative estimate, the books are worth over ₦200m.

He said, “His Highness’ greatest concern was the fate of his books, so my sister and I stayed behind to ensure that we evacuated all the books.

It took us sleepless nights to accomplish the task in two days,” Abba said.

“I made most of the transactions for the purchase of the books, and I can tell you, in a conservative estimate, they’re worth over N200m,” he added.
