Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey donates ₦367 billion for COVID-19 relief

Twitter co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey announced he is committing $1 billion (₦367 billion) of his personal wealth for coronavirus relief.

The CEO took to his official Twitter page to make this announcement on Tuesday, April 7.

According to him, the fund is meant to focus on health and education for girls and ‘universal basic income’ efforts after the pandemic.

He tweeted: “Why now? The needs are increasingly urgent, and I want to see the impact in my lifetime “I hope this inspires others to do something similar.

Life is too short, so let’s do everything we can today to help people now,” he added.
